No.
The historical Buddha Sakyamuni was a human being just like you and me.
But then he became a perfect human being.
"Buddha" means a fully awakened being.
Someone asked the Buddha if he was a god, and he said "no".
When asked if he was a sage, he said "no".
When asked if he was a mystic, he said "no".
When asked if he was a magician, he said "no".
Then they asked, What are you? and he said "I am awake."
So Buddists practice to became awakened like the Buddha.
