부처님의 화현 (Reflections of the Buddha)
전시일정: 9월 9일부터 3월 10일까지
Pulitzer Foundation이 20주년을 기념해서 그 첫번째 행사로 다양한 문화속에서 성장한
다양한 형태의 불교 모습을 “Reflections of the Buddha”란 타이틀로 전시를 한다. 18 세기의
아프가니스탄, 중국, 일본, 한국, 몽골, 네팔, 파키스타, 티벳의 불교미술로 22종류로
나누어진다.
Reflections of the Buddha 의 다리역할을 할 다양한 불교형태의 참선을 경험할 수 있는
Meditation Series 를 제공한다: 한국선, 조동선, 비파사나 선, 상좌선, 일본선, 중국선 등
Meditation Series 의 첫번째 강의는 10월 1일 부다나라 템플(불국사) 주지 선각스님
지도하에 오전 10시 30분부터 Pulitzer Foundation 건물에서 있다.
참가비는 무료이고 35명의 인원제한이 있다.

Reflections of
the Buddha
September 9, 2011 - March 10, 2012
For the first exhibition of its tenth-anniversary season, The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts presents
Reflections of the Buddha, a unique encounter with several major visual and spiritual Buddhist traditions. The
exhibition’s twenty-two artworks, on loan from important American collections, were created in Afghanistan,
China, India, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, and Tibet and date from the second to the eighteenth
centuries. Each one is experienced in harmony with the serene atmosphere of the Pulitzer’s building, designed
by master architect Tadao Ando. Three related works of contemporary art add to the resonance of the
exhibition’s theme.
Admission to the Pulitzer is free.
